corruption

another shot taken near the mill in greenville

devious and ruthless. you rule over a wasteland.

dirty eyes

another photo from the shoot around greenville

i threw a very slight magenta filter over this image to bring out his eyes. other than that i did not post process this in any other way.

there’s something dark within us all.

distance

my muse looking out against a brick wall (greenville)

this piece is from a batch taken around our neighborhood on a gloomy day.

i threw some messy eyeliner on him and went for a dirty pretty boy vibe.

i’m quite happy with the results.

we all have a way of drifting off. yearning for the horizon.

dystopia

in greenville beside the mill

is this so far from what we really are already?

i was out on a shoot with my muse and fiance. michael.

we decided to set up a living room at the dumping spot in our neighborhood.

i enjoy the edgy atmosphere to this photo and michael is posing very well.

bluegrayboy I and II

"bluegrayboy -I"

"bluegrayboy -II"

this was my second go at my mentor, peter j. crowley’s studio. this time the lights all worked, and i didn’t have to use any slave flashes.

i was really happy with how dramatic these images came out. my friend jared wasn’t even expecting a photo shoot.

i learned so much from this session about composition. something i am very proud of.

birthday party

my little sister dancing on her birthday.

playing with silhouettes and back lighting. my sister had a great time that day. she also loves the camera.

starry eyes

rachel in a white blouse against a black back drop

this image came from a batch taken in a session at my mentor’s studio. this was the same day where the big lights were not working.

i enjoy the expression and the negative space. it was challenging working with the slave flashes.

on my way out…

rachel in a white blouse. black back drop.

first post! lets jump right  in with a new image.

this was taken with some advice from my mentor, peter j crowley, in his studio.

the model is my best friend, and it was both our first time using a studio. the lights malfunctioned so i was stuck playing around with slave flashes.

i’ve hung sheets from walls with some success, but this was so much easier and better looking even with the technical difficulties.

peter did advise me to never crop below the elbow if the hand will be left out. something i would have done differently in hindsight.

other than that i enjoy the movement i got out of this piece.
